July 2018

Happy 14th birthday Annie, Abby and Carter!  Since they share the same birthday, they each get their own dessert.

Annie chose cinnamon rolls.

Abby choose peanut butter bars.

Carter chose chocolate cream pie!

Annie saved her money and bought herself an Apple watch.

Annual birthday dinner at Cheesecake Factory.

Right after birthday festivities, we headed up to Logan for Grandpa's Hideaway.  It didn't disappoint!

Parade

A brand new cow had just been born!

The evening we returned home from Grandpa's Hideaway, the kids and Tim headed up to Jazz summer league game.

Tim and Mike had business trips scheduled to London (not planned or related).  Mandy asked if I wanted to go the week before the trip.  I quickly figured out babysitting for the kids and booked a frequent flyer ticket.

I went on a tour to Canterbury, White Cliffs of Dover, and Leeds Castle.  I stressed out the tour guide because I was by myself.  Mandy hadn't arrived, hence I did the tour by myself.

Canterbury.

White Cliffs of Dover

Leeds Castle (there were two weddings and a high school prom going on).

North Hampton Castle with Mandy

Cotswold tour with Mandy.  We stopped at Stratford Upon Avon (Shakespeare home) and Oxford.  We also made a few stops to look at various old/cool houses.  This was my favorite day of the entire trip.

Kingdom of Sweets...trying to find a treat for Georgia.

Tim had an appointment in Winchester, so I took the train out to meet him.  It rained and we were very unprepared.

While we were in London, Abby went to cross country camp at Alta Mont.  They were there for two days practicing running at high altitude.

As soon as we got home from London, Carter was ordained a teacher.

Carter and Dade went to EFY in Provo.

Brittany and I both felt like we were leaving kids at the MTC!  Tim and I gave Carter the challenge to get a girl's phone number.  And to take pictures!

Georgia joined the Karlsven's on an RV trip to Hyde Park.  They went to Grandpa's Hideaway.

While Georgia and Carter were away, Annie and Abby worked on Personal Progress projects.  They sewed skirts for Trek.  They sewed skirts for Skirting the Issue (girls in the foster care system get a new skirt for the start of school) and Project Linus).  Whew....that was a lot of sewing!

We also went up to the Centerville DFG office.  We put together kits!

 And we had lunch together!

Abby has been running with the AFHS cross country team.  They meet everyday at 7:00am to practice.  She ran the Steel Days 5k with the team.

Spanish Fork Rodeo with the Rasbands!  We had dinner at Bam Bam's!

FHE at Heritage Park with no electronics.  We talked about High School Musical 2.

Carter has been interested in fishing this summer.  So he bought himself a boat.  It has been sitting in our living room for a few days now.

Vital Smarts work party at Lagoon.

Annie had AFHS soccer tryouts.  It was 8:00-10:00am and 3:00-5:00pm.  It was 95 degrees outside!
