Thumbs Up

Our little Peachy has been really working on "thumbs up".  It can be tricky to get that little thumb up.  But hooray, it is up and we are thrilled!

My Little Women

We received a gift certificate for Christmas for the Salt Lake Children's Theater.  This season they put on "Little Women".  There was NO WAY, we were going to miss this amazing play.

So I took my little women (Peachy stayed home) and we made it a fancy evening!

We started with a fancy dinner (sorry for the blurry picture).

Chillin' at the theater waiting for the play to start in our fancy dresses!

My little women...aren't they beautiful!

The girls loved the story by Louisa May Alcott.  Hopefully, they remember how much fun those sisters had and how much they loved each other.  Aren't mothers sneaky!

It is not always gonna be easy....

I had the lesson for Family Home Evening last week.  Samuel the Lamanite was the main topic of our lesson.  We've been trying to make our FHE's more meaning so they "stick".

We've had the kids read from their scriptures.  What a treat, as a parent, to hear your children read from the scriptures.

We made a Rice Krispy wall that our plastic Samuel the Lamanite stood on.

We talked about how sometimes we have to do things/not do things that might not be popular.  We have to stand up for what we believe is RIGHT even if others don't - just like Samuel.

I hope my babies remember that.

Then we ate our wall.

And it was delish.

A Few More Cuties

After sewing Pink Fig samples this past month, I decided my girlies needed a few things of their own:

I hope we remain such good buddies as the years go on!

Robbers

So my sweet Carter has a sweet fascination with guns (or any weapon really) and robbers.  He is constantly telling me scenarios about him saving the family from various intruders.  I definitely feel safe!

But the other morning, he came downstairs (it was still dark outside...thus way to early to be up) and poked Tim on the forehead.  He proclaimed that a light was on at the church (that is directly behind our house) and there were robbers over there.

Ughhh...Sweet and patient Tim told him someone was probably having a meeting and to get his hiney back up to bed.
