In 2013, I ran 1296.08 miles. It is the most I've ever run in my life.
2013 was about conquering demons.
2014 is going to be about chasing dreams (and checking them off my bucket list).

DINNER HELPER:
This girl has been entrusted to cut up our dinner vegetables! She loves it and is more willing to eat those veggies she cuts up!
MANI'S/PEDI'S:
Abby and I happen to have an afternoon all to ourselves. We headed straight to the nail salon.
GEORGIA'S PICTURE:
Georgia had a neighbor friend come to play so she drew her a welcome picture!
THE FEAST:
Georgia had a Thanksgiving Feast in her Kindergarten class. I'm not sure how she ate anything with all those missing teeth!!
We celebrated the holiday with my family and went out to eat. It was a treat not to cook nor clean up! We went to see the movie Frozen. Happy Thanksgiving!

TURKEY TROTTING:
We ran our annual turkey trot 4 mile run. We were blessed with beautiful weather and fast times! Tim had a PR by 30 seconds. I had a PR by 2 minutes and an AG win. Carter ran a 7:29 mile time. It was a wonderful morning.

BROWNIES:
Annie has become the official Sunday Brownie Maker. We love her brownies!
HARLAND:
A few weeks ago while getting the mail, I accidently dropped my car keys down the storm drain right under the mailbox. I called the city Public Works department in desperation! Harland came out with his big vacuum and sucked out all the water in the drain and fished my keys out. I wasn't sure if they would work since they were immersed in water. So I stuck them in a bowl of rice AND they worked! Harland received a BIG pan of cinnamon rolls.
FIRST SKI:
We got helmets this year. Don't we look excited about them?
Our first ski day was at Brighton and was very snowy on the way up!
Abby and I on the lift!
Lots of fresh powder! Our kids didn't know how to ski in it! They were scared that they couldn't see their skis!
Deep powder!

LOTS 'O LEAVES:
Our gazillion trees have been dropping their leaves steadily. YTD, we have bagged 38 bags of leaves. Yikes!

LUNCH DATES:
I try to sneak each of the big kids out for lunch once in awhile. I LOVE checking them out and they think they are cool that their named is called over the intercom.
BEAUTIFUL SUNSET:
I really like living in Utah
SUNDAY MORNINGS:
We have 2:00pm church. This allows us to have a long and lazy morning AND to have a big breakfast. My kids LOVE having waffles/pancakes and bacon!
I have just finished a bunch of quilts and will post picture soon!

PROJECTS:
Sometimes I get a bit preoccupied by my Netflix show and am not careful when I sew. When I realize my mistakes and have to unpick my mistakes.....I get ticked!

PING PONG
My cousin Callie was selling her ping pong table and we quickly jumped on the opportunity! It has been a great source of entertainment for everyone....especially the neighborhood boys. It is so fun to hear shouts of glee coming from the basement!
DATE NIGHT
Speaking of the basement, Tim and I have a standing "date night" down there on Sunday nights. We put the kids to bed, make popcorn and catch up on our favorite shows. We both agreed that its our favorite kind of date! (So sad that Breaking Bad is over...not that I'm promoting shows about cooking meth....but it was spectacular!!)
GEORGIA
Georgia lost her first top tooth. I'm really grateful that it happened AFTER family pictures. It is her rite-of-passage into being a big kid. Oh those funny smiles.....
She was a stinker one day at school. I happened to be there and witness it. I'm thinking this is the only time someone has acted out at school...so hopefully it won't happen again. But she did have to write an apology note and give it to her teacher. Georgia was NOT happy with me and hopefully realized that consequences do happen.
Georgia always loves to write the bar codes on the tags when we purchase stuff from bulk containers. I sure appreciate the help at the grocery store!
GOOD TIMES
We have had lots of good time just playing around the house this past week. No electronics and minimal fighting!

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES:
We recently had our first parent/teacher conferences a few weeks ago. I always stress about conferences. I feel like it is a direct reflection on the parents. How long and hard you work with your children that boils down to a 10 minute conference. Everyone had their certain areas that they need to work on, but thankfully everyone is respectful and a good class citizen. Only 6 more months until I feel like a loser again.
VOLUNTEERING AT THE SCHOOL:
Now that Georgia is in Kindergarten, I have more time to volunteer at the school. I'm there 3-4 times a week working in the three different classrooms. I can honestly say I LOVE spending time there. I helps me know all the kids in the various classes. I can benchmark where my kids are with math facts and reading levels. I get to know the teachers and they know me. I love when my kids mention things about their classmates, I know who they are talking about.
CANNERY
I had the opportunity to serve at the cannery a few weeks ago. I love going there and seeing the church "in action". There are so many opportunities to serve there and I appreciate the efforts of the service missionaries. It is the "go and do" of the call to serve.
Several years ago, I took my kids to Welfare Square in Salt Lake where the temporal affairs of saints were live in action. I guess I really love seeing service in action. I love seeing people wanting to make a difference. I hope I can serve a mission there someday.
FALL AND RUNNING:
Fall is by far my most favorite season. I get giddy when we have overcast days. The mountains look majestic right now. The trees in our yard are starting to shed their leaves. I've been making a lot more soup and rolls for dinner and we've been turning our fireplace on in the mornings. I'm one happy girl!
I also love "crunchy leaf" runs. I headed up the canyon this morning and time felt like it stopped. The trail looked like a Nike Poster with a canopy of trees and leaves covering the ground. I had a smile on my face for the entire run. I was sad that my 10 miles were over.
Running has been going well. I haven't been racing lately and my next big race won't be until 2014 (except for the turkey trot...but that won't be big). It has been nice to just run with no major race pressure. I haven't had any major injuries and have continued with my strength training. I've been training with some amazing gals and I'm grateful for their insights and company.
I've been writing a few blog posts about my recent running journey. Running is such a huge part of my life and I feel like I still have a lot to learn. Writing about it helps me sort out my thoughts. Someday I will posts those thoughts...but I still need to polish them up.

FALL BREAK FINALE
On Monday of fall break, we went to Hee Haw Farms. The kids loved it but I think I'm growing weary of the place. They had fun riding the slides, playing with animals, going on a hay ride and hay bale jumping. Glad its over!
