This year, Tim and I decided that the kids were big enough to start ski lessons. Thankfully, January is "Learn how to ski" month (at least in Utah) and all the resorts offer wonderful deals on lessons/equipment/lift tickets.
I was very surprised at how well everyone did during lessons. If you want to slow down, make a pizza with your skies and if you want to go faster, make french fries.
Though the snow has been horrible this year, they had wonderful experiences.

59 Bolts
I've had the privilege of working for Pink Fig Patterns for the past year and half. Pink Fig designs patterns for little girl clothing and fabric. I've been sewing samples, articles for samples show and other fun things. It has been such a fun side job!
I got a call after Thanksgiving from the owner. She had been contacted by a large children's distributor (Zulily, anyone.....) to put her clothes on their website. She asked if I could do 400 articles of clothing by mid-January.
So I picked up 59 bolts of Riley Blake goodness at the beginning of December! Santa came early to my sewing room.
Between, cutting, sewing, and serging not a lot else has been done in the Barlow house. The fabric was beautiful and the patterns darling! My sewing room had a fine coating of fabric dust.
BUT finally, everything is done. I delivered the final products (it ended up being 300 articles) last weekend.
Thanks Chelsea for the great experience!
