April 2018

We got 5 tickets to the afternoon session of General Conference.  Georgia wasn't sad she had to spend the afternoon at Karlsvens.

Vienna and Aria Crane came over to play during an afternoon.

We tried a new cookie recipe.  They were jumbo size!

More track meets for Abby.

Steve Rogers (aka the 20 year old lawn mover) still fired up after a long winter's rest!

Desi Lindon was the first American woman to win the Boston Marathon.  It was the coldest, rainiest reported for the marathon.

We had a Beehive activity at our house doing Days for Girls!  Lots of work got done.

We had a Primary Royalty activity.  The primary kids learned how to be royal like their Heavenly Father.  We even had a royal lunch.

It always makes me SO happy when my tulips bloom.  Spring is coming!

Carter started mowing a neighbor's lawn.  Steve Rogers has a hard time starting for me.  I bought a new lawn mower at Costco.  It sure is pretty and starts right up!

Annie started her soccer season.  She plays right wing defense!

We went to see the Incredibles!

March 2018

Kelli Stephenson and I went to St George to run the Red Mountain 55k as my last big training run for the Buffalo 100.

16 miles on Antelope Island with my very dear training partners.  The last run before the Buffalo 100.

Friday, March 23, 2018 - the Buffalo 100 mile race.

I have a whole blog post for this race (and a book that Melissa Soper and Kellie Stephenson made for me).  This was mile 87 and I was at my breaking point.  I was SO unbelievably tired and felt like I couldn't go further.  I told my pacer, Melissa, that I needed to lie down for 10 minutes.  My body started to cramp up and there was no way I could sleep.

I started to cry.  Tim kneeled in front of me and told me that I only had 13 miles left.  I was trying to figure out some fuzzy math to see how long that would take me to finish.  I still had HOURS to go.

Right then, I had a circle of my dearest friends filling my brain with confidence.  This was a pivotal moment in my race.  I never forget this moment.

Because of my dear husband (and crew chief) and my pacers, I finished the race.  It took me 26:53 to finish.  It was the hardest thing I have ever done.

Carter's AF rec center basketball team won the championship!

Georgia participated in the Battle of the Books at school.

She made the All Star team!!!

Abby ran the 1600 meter in track!

Georgia was the #1 cheerleader.  And she loved getting checked out from school to go to track meets.

Some of the meets were freezing!

Abbie San Juan and Gavin came over to play Just Dance.

After 22 months, Annie got off her braces!
We went to the movie theater to get he popcorn!

The Easter Bunny left a scavenger hunt on Easter!

February 2018

More skiing with the Karlsvens!

I got fake eyelashes and had a HORRIBLE allergic reaction.  Never again!

Decorating heart cookies and writing heart attacks for Valentine's Day.

Bantam basketball.

I got to help in Georgia's 4th grade class (Mrs. Howland) for the Valentine's party.

A 30 mile training run in Corner Canyon with Rachel Moody.  It was a snow globe run!

Shoveling and sledding on a snowy day.
