Lunch Dates

Each semester, I try to check each of my big kids out of school and take them on a lunch date.  They never know when it is coming or whose turn it will be (we had to have a talk about *taking turns* on lunch dates.  Everyone gets a turn, but not everyone goes first). 

Supposedly, it is very cool to hear your name over the intercom.  So they always come darting out of their classroom wearing an "ear to ear" smile!

We always go to Subway because I can't stomach Mcdonalds.  I love hearing about their day.  I don't talk much during lunch because my kiddos can talk a million-miles-a-minute.  Plus, they have my undivided attention. 

I LOVE lunch dates (and so do they!).
