Cousin Kaylee is the main singer in the BYU Women's Conference.  We got to see her perform at the Marriott Center.

Georgia's 3rd class (Mrs. Garbe) took a field trip to the Thanksgiving Point Curiosity Museum.  I got to be a chaperone!

Mother's Day 2017 (Tim-40, Toby-38, Annie/Abby/Carter-12, Georgia-9).  All the Barlow family came over for dinner.  Everyone brought different salads and we had fruit pizza for dessert.

 The washing machine died.

After school got out, we went through all the books in the upstairs book shelf.  We gave away the book shelf.  It was nice to declutter that room.

We went on a Memorial Day hike with the Rasbands.  We went up Pine Hollow Trail in American Fork Canyon to Emme's Meadow.  Annie made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins to eat along the way.

Georgia outgrew Carter's old bike.  She picked out a beach cruiser from Walmart.

We rode it to the snow cone shake that afternoon.  We took the bike path from Deerfield Elementary.  It was about a mile long bike ride.

April 2017

April started with spring break and a trip to Lake Tahoe with Chris and Lisa.  We stayed at a house in Incline Village.  

Everyone skied the first day.  Nice and warm

The second day, the boys skied at Squaw Valley and the girls went on a long walk.  We did Barlow Boot Camp at the park by the lake.

That afternoon, we saw the movie Beauty and the Beast in Reno.

The third day we drove to Chris and Lisa's house.  We met Dan and Dalia for dinner.  

The fourth day, we went to Alcatraz Island.  Tim and I went to Alcatraz when we were first married.  I took a picture of Tim on a jail cell potty.  We had to recreate the same picture!

The fifth day, the girls went to the mall.  This was possibly the most exciting day for the girls.

We left very early in the morning hoping to beat a snow storm over Donner Pass.  They required that vehicles without chains to purchase chains to get through the mountains.  It was a stressful few hours getting through that snow storm.

We planted the vegetable garden.  Annie is helping with the garden/canning this year as part of her personal progress project.

Kelli Stephenson and I headed down to St George to run the Red Mountain 30k.  This was my longest run since my ACL reconstruction.  It had been awhile since I had been on a trail (as it had been cold/wintery up north).  Kelli ran in front of me for most of the race.  It was great to have her be the leader and all I had to do was follow her feet.  It was warm.  My legs cramped BAD post race.

With the urging of her art teacher (Mr. Bryson), Abby decided she wanted to run track.  She told me the week before and asked for a new pair of shoes.  She ran the 1600m.  Going to her track meets brought back a flood of memories of running high school track.

During 7th grade the big kids had to job shadow a friend or family member.  Annie job shadowed Tim at Vital Smarts.  Abby went with her friend Abbie San Juan to Nick San Juan's job at the church office buildings.  Carter job shadowed uncle Mike.  

Our good family friend, Bobbi Stahl came into town for annual flight attendant training.  We went up to Deer Valley to see the kids ski.  Then went out to lunch on Main Street.

Tim went to Calgary, Canada for work.  He skied at Revelstoke
