We tied some quilts at our Little House on the Prairie book club.  We were trying to be pioneers.  We brought the quilts to the DI humanitarian center.

Abby's summer consisted of a lot of puzzles.  We found so many brand new puzzles at DI.

Unfortunately, this was part of our summer too.

Days for Girls work day.  We assembled several hundred hygiene kits.  The girls were great helpers!

Georgia found some new pants for school.

Temple trip to the Provo City Center temple.  It was great to go back after the open house.

I've been riding my bike a lot.  And I've gotten lots of flat tires.  I finally learned how to change them!

We headed up the canyon for tin foil dinners and s'mores.  We call our favorite canyon spot "The Pine Tree Inn".

Watching one of my favorite runners, Emma Coburn, run the steeplechase in the Olympic.  She was giving away free tee-shirts.  Of course, I represented!

Our annual fill the freezer with corn.  We buy 20 dozen ears of shucked corn.  We cook it, cut it off the cob and stick it in freezer bags.  Then we get to enjoy it all winter long!

Back to school hair cuts and eye brow waxes.  Watch out jr high!

Georgia turned 9 years old!  She got a new polaroid camera!

The day after we got back from Mexico, the big girls left for girls camp at Mutual Dell.  This was their first year at camp.  It was a stake camp this year.  I got to sneak up to their camp site and see them!  Obviously, I interrupted their fun!

While the girls were at camp, Georgia, Carter and I joined Grandma Barlow, Kaylee and Lyla up the canyon for a picnic.

We had a neighborhood book club.  We read Little House on the Prairie.  We spent lots of summer afternoons reading and snuggling.

Each family had to bring a pioneer dish to the book club.  We brought apple pie.

We watched the classic movie Rudy one Sunday evening.  I became a blubbery mess during the final scene when he sacks the Georgia Tech quarterback.  Years and years working and waiting for his moment and it finally came!
