August 2018

Trek 2018 at Martin's Cove.

Annie and Abby went to EFY the Monday after we got back from Trek!  They were in different sessions and only saw each other once during the week.

While the girls were at EFY, Carter, Georgia and I went to the McBride's U-pick raspberry farm.  Picking raspberries is very time consuming and we didn't get as many as we hoped.  So we went back after the big girls got home.

The wild fires have been super bad this year.  The skies have been smoke filled.  But it does make for a beautiful sunrise!

Pulling all the basil leaves off the plants to make pesto!

Cleaning carpets before school starts!  I sure love that clean carpet smell!

School supplies shopping at Target.

Riley's fruit stand (by Costco) has THE BEST peaches!

Back to school night at Barratt Elementary.  She has Mrs Weakley for 5th grade.  It was also AFJH back to school night, but we didn't take any pictures.

Annie dropped off all her Project Linus blankets at the American Fork Hospital for her personal progress project.

Abby's first cross country race, Highland Invitational, at Sugarhouse Park.  Best cheer squad!

American Fork 37th Ward country fair.  We ran the 5k!

That afternoon, we went to see Newsies at the Hale Center Theatre with Jason and Jenny.

First day of 9th grade and 5th grade.  I bought a bunch of lunch snacks at Maceys.  Annie hid the Fudge Graham in the basement so the other kids wouldn't eat them.

We went to the Tree Room at Sundance before the Bluebird Cafe.  Their pepper steak never disappoints!

Abby ran the Grass Relays at Westlake High School.  She had to jump over hay bales!

Georgia was walking into the AF public library last week.  She was wearing her Jandles and twisted her ankle. She could instantly that something happened to her foot.  But I made her made wait a week until I took her to the doctor.

We went to the hospital for an xray.  She has an avulsion fracture (the tendon pulled off part of her bone).  She is in a boot for 4 weeks.  She's also had a horrible cough.  She's had a hard week.

Pre-Region at Cottonwood Complex.  3.0 miles at 24:56.

Jill Stuart and I went to Swiss Days.  It was her first time and I showed how to do the morning most effectively!  It was a super fun morning!

We went on our annual campout to Timpanooke Campground.  Holly is pregnant with Andrew and is in the hospital on bed rest.  Rand and the kids camp up for dinner.  The girls and I didn't spend the night as Abby had CC practice in the morning.

Steaks and corn on the fire.  I think we figured out how to be more efficient with our steak preparation.  Next year we will have our A-game for food!
